History of Yale-New Haven Hospital

At the present time, the department provides clinical care for approximately 28,000 patients each year. Our clinical activities encompass a variety of specialty areas including ambulatory, cardiac, pediatric, acute & chronic pain management, obstetrics, vascular, transplant as well as all aspects of "perioperative" patient management. In addition, the department provides anesthesia and pain management service to the West Haven Veterans Hospital. We are very fortunate to have attracted a nationally and internationally recognized faculty. Our 58 residents, 8 fellows, and 69 faculty are all working together to ensure that the department's mission to provide the highest quality of anesthesia care is achieved.
