Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship

Our department is strongly committed to fostering anesthesia education. In addition to our superb residency program, we offer advanced training in a number of anesthesiology fellowship programs. These programs serve to enhance the knowledge and skills developed during residency training. We are particularly proud of the fact that many of our fellows remain in academic practice.

The cardiac fellow delivers clinical care four days a week and attends transesophageal echocardiography teaching sessions one day per week. In order to help the fellows cultivate and develop their teaching skills, the fellows deliver two didactic lectures each to CA-1 and CA-2 residents under observation, with feedback on their teaching skills.
